Joined by Succession’s Jeremy Strong as infamous cutthroat lawyer and practitioner of the dark arts Roy Cohn – the young Trump’s mentor as he sought to escape his father’s shadow – Abbasi’s (Border, Holy Spider) The Apprentice depicts the future president as a hungry second son eager to make his name in a city in the throes of a power grab. Cohn sees in Trump the perfect protégé: someone with raw ambition, a hunger for success, and a willingness to do whatever it takes to win.
