Ayman, Syrian refugee in Lebanon, teaching his wife how to drive his car, the only thing left for him from his country. The lesson takes a wrong turn into madness and nostalgia.

Beneath A Mother's Feet directed by Elias Suhail - 15m

A young Moroccan mother, trapped in a mundane existence, confronts her dreams and fears, leading to the agonising decision to forsake all she knows, even her children. Blending cinemá verite with superstition and allegory, the film draws from the director's own family history, highlighting the complexities of maternal sacrifice and defiance against patriarchal norms.

Matar directed by Hassan Akkad - 23m

Experience the powerful story of Matar, as he confronts the harsh realities of the UK's broken asylum system, and fights to rebuild his life against all odds.

WaterBear Original's docu-fiction film is a must-see for anyone interested in social justice. Directed by Bafta-winner Hassan Akkad and starring Ahmed Malek (The Swimmers), this film is a powerful exposé of the UK's asylum system and the discrimination faced by those trying to rebuild their lives in England.

Based on the lived experience of co-writer Ayman Alhussein, this film is a call to action to fight for a more just and equitable world.
